Description
Over time, even the most robust waxed garments lose their weather-resistant properties. SAL & OURO Specialist Refinisher is designed to replenish the fabric’s barrier, deeply impregnating the fibers to keep out wind and water while enhancing the unique character of the material.
Crafted with 100% natural and organic ingredients, this wax doesn’t just protect—it matures with your garment, creating a customized sheen and a supple hand-feel that only improves with age.
The Ritual of Waxing
Restoring your garment is a slow, tactile process that ensures its longevity for decades to come:
Preparation: Ensure the garment is clean and completely dry. Use a SAL & OURO horsehair brush to remove any surface dust or grit.
Application: Using a clean cotton cloth (or a SAL & OURO denim scrap), apply the wax in circular motions. Focus on high-wear areas like the shoulders, seams, and elbows.
Heat Set: For maximum penetration, use a hairdryer or a heat gun on a low setting to melt the wax into the fibers. The fabric will darken as it absorbs the treatment.
Buffing: Once the wax has cooled and set, use a clean cloth to buff the surface for a higher sheen, or leave it as-is for a rugged, matte finish.
Curing: Hang the garment in a warm, dry place for 24 hours before use.
Key Benefits
Superior Protection: Restores the original water-repellent finish.
Aesthetic Depth: Develops a rich, darkened patina over time.
Pure Formula: Free from paraffin, petroleum, and synthetic fragrances.
Note: 100 mL tin. Sufficient for one full trench coat refinishing or multiple spot treatments. Store in a cool, dry place.
